In to Battle we go!
Battle's Normanhurst Court is a very easy drive from our home and hence a first choice for us to just "get away" for the weekend.
Sometimes a change of scenery is good for the soul, and it's always wonderful to return to a stunning site, just 20 minutes from home.
Battle is a historic Sussex market town with an abbey, tiled Sussex cottages and many gorgeous delis, cafes and antique shops to spend the day browsing/enjoying.
We were able to see the last of the leaves falling from the trees and the colours were absolutely stunning.
This was the last weekend the site was open before closing for the season and we wanted to get our 2016 "fix".
We visited Battle, itself, Bexhill on Sea and Hastings. A very relaxed and chilled weekend.
Also managed to replace a broken catch on our fridge door AND installed a passenger side cup holder for my latte on the road!
